Karlovo náměstí

Karlovo náměstí is the bigest square in Czech and one of the bigest on the world. It was founded in 1348, but the name after king Karel IV (the founder of this square) has from 1848.

The Glass Bridge

This is very unusual bridge for me. The left building is Lesser Town Water Tower. It is from 16th century and is placed on very small island. Right building is placed on embankment.
This small bridge was built in 1990.

Old Pump

The same pump like yesterday, but closer.

The Pump

This pump is located at Vyšehrad. It didn´t have own spring, it was used as a reservoir for water, which here led by gravity wooden pipes from the spring of Jezerce. It was the oldest water system in Prague (about 1140).

This is little diferent House Sign than I show normally. House with this Sign is placed in historical part of Prague and now it is a hotel.

This small lagoon is placed in Vojanovy sady.

This water tower is placed in Michle. It was built in 1906-1907. And until 1975 the building served its original purpose.

True is, that I don´t have any idea why this house has this one Sign :)

Warm Weekend

Last weekend was sunny and warm. It looked like summer. On the river you saw lots of boats and pedal boats. It was fine.

Small Peacock

About one and half month small peacock in Vojanovy sady. I saw it when it was about one week old and it (and its brothers and sisters) looked like a small chicken :) So now I am suprised how "big" it is after few weeks :-)
I am curious if it will be "she" or nice colored "he".

This bridge connects island (Dětský ostrov) and left embankment of the river Vltava. It was built in 1933-1941.

The House Sign (15) - Three Fiddles

This sign appeared at the house around 1700 (the house is much older). In the house lived three generations of violinists. The house has its legend, says if moon is full you can heard playing the violin.

The same location like yesterday, but today it is vegetable market.

This Old Market Hall was built in 1806, but today it is supermarket. On the ceiling five paintings of outdoor markets are. This one represents the flower market.

This is a small bridge over river Botič to the park Folimanka.

My 151st post and I feel empty.
Few weeks I have a crisis, I'm tired of photographing and publication of contributions.
Prague is so beautiful, magic and interesting and I feel that I can not show you it so. I wish to be able to take pictures as beautiful as others.
Almost every day I look at other blogs and I wish I could say as much as they do by their posts.
I wish be better photographer. I wish be better writter.
