The Gas Lamp

This gas lamp is from 1867. It is placed on Hradčanské náměstí.
It stopped using gas in 1985, it was the last gas lamp in Prague. 16th may 2006 it was the first Prague´s lamp which was started using gas again.

The Soundproofing Wall

This soundproofing is next to the areal of a preschool. It is very close the main street.

Botič

I know that Vltava isn´t the only river in Prague. But I didn ´t know how a lot of rivers, streams, rivulets and rills are here. We have about 99 of it.
This is river Botič taken in Nusle. It is 34,5km long.

The Belfry

This belfry is next to the Church of st. Peter in Petrská Street. It was built in 1598. In 1680 the big fire of lightning (in the church and also in the belfry) melted down all three bells in belfry.

The House Sign (5) - Small Bears

Somewhere I read that this House Sign is from 1614. Somewhere was writen 1617. Ok, we may say early 17th century.
You may see Old Czech Language there - "Zde slowe od starodawna u Nedvidku".

Water

I wanted say wild water, but on this picture it doesn´t look so.
On the bank you can see Sova´s Mills. It was built before 14th century, but in next centuries it was burned few times and after reconstructed (until todays look). Today it is used for exhibitions.

Beer (4)

Beer Braník has its name from Prague´s part. In this part it was made since 1899.

The Spanish Synagogue

This synagogue was build in 1868 and is placed in Dušní Street. It was built instead another synagogue (Altschul) which was dated to late 11th century.
On picture you can see the east wall.
I know, the lights are very intensive, I have another picture with only half wall with window, but I wanted show whole wall...

Negrelliho viadukt

This viaduct is only for trains. It was built in 1846 -1850. In its time it was unique. It is 1110m long.

The Smaller Window

I can´t imagine that somebody really wants smaller window (you can see it was bigger before). This picture was taken near Malostranské náměstí (Lesser Town Square).

This house calls House with Green Tree. I don´t know, it looks more blue than green... maybe the time change it.

The House Sign (3) - Deer

This house calls House with White Deer. It is located in Nerudova street.
Nerudova street is last part of Royal Road.

The Sailor Uniform

You may meet lots of people in this uniform by the river Vltava in Prague. Their job is to make sightseeing cruise on the boat.

Windows of Klausen Synagogue

This synagogue was built in 1689-1694.
But the stained glass windows are from 1883-1884. In these years the synagogue was enlarged and reconstructed.

Petřín Tower

This tower was built in 1891. It is 63,5m hight and you must go up 299 steps if you want see beautiful view.

Čechův most

This Art Nouveau bridge is protected technical monument.
It's the shortest bridge over the Vltava River in Prague. It was built in 1905-1908.

The Reflection Of Estates Theatre

First premiere of the Estates Theatre (Stavovské divadlo) was 21st April 1783.

První premiéra ve Stavovském divadle byla 21. dubna 1783.

Church of St. Anežka

Church of St. Anežka was built in 1935 for just 8 month. It is placed on Spořilov.

Kostel sv. Anežky byl postaven v roce 1935 a práce na něm trvali jen 8 měsíců. Nachází se na Spořilově.

The Water Tower

This water tower dates from the late 16th century. It was built on the site where a wooden water tower was from the late 15th century. Unfortunately it burnt down.
The current tower has served its purpose until the mid-19th century.

Tato vodárenská věž pochází z konce 16. století. Byla postavena na místě, kde od konce 15. století stála dřevěná vodárenská věž. Ta bohužel shořela. Nynější věž sloužila svému účelu až do poloviny 19. století.
